Dutch babies are a super easy and quick breakfast that will be sure to impress! They're super tasty and everyone can make them up however they'd like. They're good on their own but great when dressed up with some skyr honey and fresh fruit! This recipe makes about 6 small servings, but you can always cut it in half to make 3 instead.
Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour
4 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp kosher salt
6 large eggs
1 ½ cups milk (or milk substitute--oat milk works well)
1 tsp vanilla extract
6 tbsp. butter--room temp
Greek yogurt, skyr, honey, syrup, fresh fruit, jam to top
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 425, place small soufflé dishes on a baking sheet (6) and put a tbsp. of butter in each dish. Place the tray in the oven and allow the dishes to heat and the butter to melt.
Puree eggs in a blender for a minute--until pale and frothy, then add the flour, sugar, salt, milk, and vanilla and blend for about a minute---the mixture will be thin.
Once the butter has melted in all of the dishes pour an equal amount into each one.
Bake until they have puffed and are golden---20-25 minutes.
Top with desired topping---honey, fresh fruit, syrup, yogurt, jam.
Enjoy!
