This recipe started my love for leeks, its so simple but they come out so tasty, I could eat the entire plate of them, and have! They are a great side dish or snack, enjoy!
Ingredients:
-4 large leeks sliced in half, washed thoroughly
-4 tablespoons olive oil
-1 tablespoon paprika
-1 teaspoon kosher salt
-½ teaspoon Aleppo pepper
-½ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
Slice the leeks longways in half, then gently wash thoroughly in between the layers making sure to hold in tact as well.
In a small bowl mix the rest of the ingredients with a whisk till combined.
Then cover a baking tray with tin film drizzle with olive oil and place the leeks on it, now use a spoon to pour the mixture you made onto the leeks while massaging it into the layers.
If there's extra of the oil mixture just pour it over the leeks, then drizzle everything with olive oil, and sprinkle with kosher salt lightly.
Place the leeks in the oven for 30-40 minutes, check on them at the 25 minutes mark.
Once done they should be tender in the center and the outer leaves slightly crispy.
